This House Is Haunted

This House Is Haunted

A Poem by Mackenzie

Resting in the boughs of this house.

Shivering in constant fear, is a shadow.

With two gleams of light at it's shoulders, piercing the harsh bite of the evening air.

It's shallow breath on the neck of morning, as it's just rising from sleep.

Concepts cool with the movement of clouds, shifting in the rushing wind.

And we can all muster up some story of what the shadows have unveiled to us before.
