Call of Spring

Call of Spring

A Poem by Mackenzie

Frozen under sheets of ice, hard, solid, whole, still.

uneffected by the turbulant tundra surrounding,

waiting, with no other choice.

till the thaw brings life

when the crackling echoes against the tumbling hillsides,

and hearts will beat again amidst the call of Spring.

This was brilliant. o= It was so short and yet filled with powerful description and an almost epic representation of spring! I loved it! :)
