Tree

Tree

A Poem by Mackenzie

May I be a leaf on your branch?

Oh to be the ant, slaving away at the base of your root.

The wind rustling your fruit

The spider pinning up his home

Anything so that I can view the world as you do, with you

I'd want nothing else, if you were a tree.

As a lover of trees , I found this piece to be very moving. To grow through the seasons and stand strong against the winds of time. To weather the storms of our lives and bring life from our seed. Take root and grow tall my friend.

This is great. Love the metaphors of closeness and love. Great job.
