Flower

Flower

A Poem by Mackenzie

Once
A flower bloomed
Dazzling with it's potential to be beautiful
It could have been a bud on a cherry tree to soon bare fruit if it were late July or early august
It could have been an orchid, exotic, tantalizing, intriguing, or mysterious
Perhaps, a lilac smelling of spring, fresh with fragrance and drops of dew, home mostly to spiders
Once
A flower bloomed
And it became nothing but a dandelion, edible in certain tastes, yet mostly a disease
