The Clyde of my Bonnie

The Clyde of my Bonnie

A Poem by Ella Emergency

He’s a hug on a platter,

He’s sweat in my eyes,

He appreciates my skinny,

He’s nosy and imposing,

He’s warm and brown,

He’s pushy and touchy,

He’s my brother like no other,

He’s a song I hate that’s stuck in my head,

He’s a mosquito bite,

He’s a night in the heat,

He’s a black fly in my chardonnay,

He’s a crowded pizza place,

He’s homework,

He’s a good day on the beach,

He’s the rain on my parade,

He’s the steel support beams of my life,

He’s impulsive and undecided,

He finally said it out loud,

He never says he loves me

(but I know he means it anyway).

I like it... you have to accept the good and bad when you love someone as you show here... very nicely done.
