Stuck at the fork

Stuck at the fork

A Poem by Eunice Crankyponts

Along the path of my life

The twists and turns

Hills and valleys

I have traveled

Understanding that my youth completed

A long time ago

Realizing so long a path behind me

Yet, stuck at the fork.

Sun touching my face for but a moment

I hesitate toward the horizon

My pace quickens

Speeding toward the sun

Light surrounds me and uplifts me

Shedding the darkness and rancor

That settled itself a long time ago

Beautifully written and easy to relate to. We have all been at the fork. I love how you added the sun in there. Well done.
