All of the light and love
Once held in my heart,
Let go
All of the understanding
Once understood
No longer remains
Anticipating heartache
I let go
Releasing all animosity
Transformation undergone.
Realization that I am alone
Alone but not afraid
Fear no longer rules me
I am free
I like this because it's a Zen-like freedom, meaning letting go of ANY values, pro or con, out of a simple instinct for breathing room, inner clearing.
Really, the essence of the perennial wisdom (ANTITHESIS of religion or any ideology), is just this capacity to let go, a process it seems that has many onion layers, and we keep peeling away until there's no more.
I especially appreciate this bare-bones no-nonsense theme, 'cause most poets, on this site, and in general, are about either clever objective details, or at least borderline self-important feelings. Nature of the human condition.
Thanks for the root simplicity. It's a surprisingly rare virtue.

I am chemically imbalanced and therefore this makes me cranky. MY name is not really Eunice, nor am I from the Crankyponts family. Simply put - Pseudonym.
I have always enjoyed writing and decided .. more..
