She Hides in Mirrors

She Hides in Mirrors

A Poem by Eunice Crankyponts
"

I was challenged to write a poem using the phrase "she hides in mirrors"....this was the result.

"

Amid the mess she calls her life

Constantly and consistently roaming

She hides in mirrors

Reflecting beauty

Yet, protecting her heart

A room filled with mirrors

Could not capture her heart

Aesthetic nature of beauty

Captured in glass

Yet, deep within

A blackened mass

From years of neglect.

Amid the misery of it all

He finds her

Lifts her to heights with his words

Affirming that, which is extraordinary

Yet, she still, hides in mirrors

Protection from pain

No, she's not vain

Her fear fed anger

Protects her

All the while…

She hides in mirrors.

I like this one, and of course I like mirrors. Mirrors show us what is in are minds, but only the reflection we see is the image we make. Very well writen, I like it. :)
