Wings

Wings

A Poem by Eunice Crankyponts
"

18 years ago, I began my frenetic writing process. This one, for my mother.

"

Believing in me, you were always there

Whenever I erred, you didn't care

You love me for me and not for my acts

You gave me wings and let me fly

Through good times and bad

You were all that I had

Always your shoulder on which I would cry

Keeping me happy and without a frown

You lifted me up when I was down

For this I am grateful

But now, it's your turn

To shine

So fly with the freedom you have earned

Don't worry, I will use all I have learned

To keep you happy

And if you need me,

I'll be there

This is lovely, Euni, and I almost imagine it's to your kids or something. I love the generosity of it.
