Yellow No. 1

Yellow No. 1

A Poem by Eunice Crankyponts
"

Kind of like Chanel No. 5, I write and edit to either add or take away but mostly, I edit and get a different poem. :)

"

I wore my yellow shirt today

My favorite

I think it accentuates

My positive

Yet, still feeling lost in the crowd

I wandered aimlessly

You found me

We talked for a while

Then you were gone

Our time cut short

A  delay to your response

I lost patience and decided to climb a tree

Angered by the very words

Uttered from your mouth

From somewhere deep within your soul

You denied me

Climbing higher and higher

Until I fell

Yet, you came back to catch me

I felt safe in knowing

You were there

This feeling is far from ordinary

For a long time our souls sleep

Until inspired by another

Finding the other

When not even looking

One intimidated to scare you away

You remain

The obsession of another

Meant to harm the two

Only bring them closer

Denying any other
