Star Gazing

Star Gazing

A Poem by Eunice Crankyponts

Wishing on that star

Hoping for your attention

Acting as if there is nothing wrong

Thinking it could be better

Impossible yearning

She wanted more

Wandering aimlessly since the departure

Roaming on the horizon of what if's

One chance left behind

Now she knows

Going away is easier

Wishing for your touch

Insecurity in the silence

The departure was easy

Having nothing but herself

Meaning to start

Ending the nonsense

I really like these lines:
"Wandering aimlessly since the departure
Roaming on the horizon of what if's"
I think this summarizes the poem in its entirety. Who hasn't, at one time or another, found themselves on the edge of this horizon, wandering aimlessly amidst its dangerous and thrilling territories?
Excellent poem!
