Strength

Strength

"

Another poetry challenge in which, I was asked to look at two pictures. One was a picture of a child holding on to a woman's hands and the other was the image of a woman huddled over on the shore. The sky filled with dark clouds and the tide seemed to be

"

Lost in your eyes, I ponder

Reflections of my youth

Waiting on the shores of worry

Watching the storm in the distance

Yet, the horizon seems clear

Growing from the challenge

Hanging on to you

I see my future

Gazing in to your eyes

Reflecting an innocent soul

Looking to me to for guidance

Sitting on the shore of the darkened abyss

Waiting for an answer

Subtle ebb and flow of the tide

I was lost before but in you

I found me

In you, I found strength

In you, I found love

Sweet innocence

Without you,

My strength is null

Without you,

My weakness reveals me

For you, I rest assured

Knowing, if not for you

The tide would have taken me

Leaving my heart empty

Alone and lost

In you, I found me.
