Misled

Misled

A Poem by Eunice Crankyponts
"

I was challenged to write a poem using specific words.

"

I mis-interpret the action of you

Misled by the tune

Thinking it meant truth

Reality facing

Is not in your repertoire

You  made a bargain with the devil

And now live in

The apathy of the day

From dawn to dusk

You deny it

Never facing truth

In one fell swoop

A message meant to

Shatter my naive image of you

I anticipate the end

Your skin like porcelain

As you lay in the grave

Created by the randomness

Of your addiction

Ouch, what a powerful ending. Just didn't see that coming. The bite of an addiction. Super job.

I like the creativity of expression in regards to character. The porcelain was a particularly good touch. I sense loss and tragedy all in such a short time. Your very good at packing a lot of punch in just a few lines. Good write thanks.
