Lessons

Lessons

A Poem by Eunice Crankyponts

How does it feel to know

I will never make love to you again

Does it hurt so badly you want to scream?

Remember before you lash out in anger

What happened the last time

History turns a lesson unlearned

Listen and look for the lesson

The message unheeded

Only returns

Abhorrence unneeded

Similar yet dissimilar

Comparing every interaction

Every lesson unlearned

Until the words are heard

Action unnecessary

Anger in  words

Only returns pain

Until the lesson is learned

Feel, hear, see, speak

Evil angst riddled words

Evil angst riddles action

No matter the message

Kindness prevails

Feel it, hear it, embrace it

Vengeful stalking

Vengeful harassment

Soul strangling intent

Suffocate emotions

Suffocated by fear

Smothering my existence

With word and action

Belittling my existence

Until I am no more.
