Bewilderment

Bewilderment

A Poem by Eunice Crankyponts

She caught him as a captive
With her special brand of charm
Beguiling all the while
Speaking on light and darkness
Loveless and pathetic
They saw through to that day
Perfection and seemingly endless
Passion emerging
Rejuvenating her soul
Beguiling and Bewilderment
Captivating glances from across the room
They saw through the glass
They saw face to face
The charity afforded by each
Ability to understand the complication
All of the obstacles lie before him
His eyes a glowing green
Yet the darkness in his heart
Consumes his soul
Nothing left to give
Immersed in fear
Living it everyday
Illumination seeks his heart
The kind of light
That rejuvenates him
He is happy at the idea
Yet the complication of it all
