The Shoe

This one needs more work/editing but I will post it for now.

The Shoe?
Current mood: hyper

Oh the things I've seen From my ivory tower
I've watched and I've waited for just the right hour
To open my cage from which, you can't see
The potential for loving, the real side of me
You've wondered, you've waited
You've brought me the key,
I unlocked the cage and shown the true me
The loving, the caring, the selfless side
These traits I have hidden
To protect my own heart
I should have seen it right from the start
I'm showing you now and I'll hang on forever
Let this be my solemn vow
I'll take your hand and keep all the promises
They've ever made
Washing away your sorrow
Releasing you from your cage
I'll wipe all the tears that you've surely wept
I hope that you hear me
And I say this lovingly
If silence be golden
And our hearts are true
Just what do you want me to do with this shoe?
