Recycling Fear

Recycling Fear

A Poem by Eunice Crankyponts

You who digs at me

Always on my mind

Forever in my heart

Can’t we let go

Move on

It follows us everywhere

Collecting bottles

Recycling fear

Yes, recycling fear

Time and time again

Afraid to speak it

Afraid to end it

Afraid for it to go away

Sunshine and rainbows

Disillusioned to think

It would last

Kindness, Tenderness

Running from it

Running to it

Colliding somewhere along the way

Embracing it

Longing for it

Words mapped out on a page

Then leaving it for another day.
