Own It

Own It

A Poem by Eunice Crankyponts

Why do feel the need to condescend - I'd have been with you to the end

Had you given me the chance and not lived in an alcoholic trance.

Even though you're sober now, it matters not and to this I vow

I'll never understand what made you hate me, made me not qualify

That's something you'll have to own

The fault is not mine but your own

You'll never learn, you'll never see

The lasting debt of your immaturity

You love with anger, fear, and pain

But a fleeting glimpse in to a heart so tender

You broke it in two everyday

Loss of family is the price you'll pay

Until you learn to own it

About
I am chemically imbalanced and therefore this makes me cranky. MY name is not really Eunice, nor am I from the Crankyponts family. Simply put - Pseudonym. I have always enjoyed writing and decided .. more..
