Animosity

Animosity

A Poem by Eunice Crankyponts

That which once was

Is nevermore - to you, I'll always be your silly w***e

Continue to hate, it's your repertoire

Blaming and chastising is ugly

Ugliness on the inside and beauty on the outside

The world doesn't work that way, you'll see

Looking out without looking in

Will not heal your wounds so deep seated.

Learn to know the inner child

The one that was happy and fancy free

The one that found solace climbing a tree

Not blaming but loving wholeheartedly

Teach yourself how to see the day

Through rose colored glasses, not everything's grey

Live and let live is a song I know

But you can't live if you don't learn how to grow

Grow past your fear, anxiety, and pain

Instead of malice and disdain

Try kindness and charity
