Mourning the Morning

Mourning the Morning

A Poem by Eunice Crankyponts

Thoughts of you
Run rampant through my mind
Yearning to reach out
And touch you
Embrace you til the end of time
Wishing for your conversation
Perfection of supposed imperfection
Sharing in the wonder of it all
Laughing as the hours pass
Connecting on a greater level
Exploring our reality
Discussing Light and Darkness
Fate and mankind
The abhorrence and surreal
Day fades in to night
Slumbering next to you
Feeling your warmth
Yet the sun begins to peek over the hill
Morning begging to begin.
