Faces in the Crowd

Faces in the Crowd

A Poem by Eunice Crankyponts

Sitting waiting as the hours pass

Watching the faces of the crowd

She waits….

Feeling remorse then hurt

Inevitable anger emerges from deep within her soul

She waits longer

The phone remains silent

Thinking if she just waits

He will show

His cherub face with the ruddy complexion

Forever etched in her mind

Digging at her soul
