A Conversation with the Stars

A Conversation with the Stars

A Poem by Meghan Renee
"

retrospection

"
What do you search for?
Lasting stillness.
Why?
I am made of heat
A ball of death
I want more than that
I want peace.
Peace from what?
The aching.
Why do you ache?
I was made to do so.
By who? God?
There is more than the divine
More than humans can comprehend
The universe is vast
I have seen it.
I do not understand.
Why would you?
You are only human.
What if I want more?
Why would you want that?
As you, I ache.
Why do you ache?
I wish to be amongst you.
You would die.
I would be free.

Woah... this is an interesting and creative way to tell a story. I liked the concept of a conversation with a inanimate object. Well written.

Writing is both my passion and coping mechanism. When I was twelve/thirteen, I became incredibly depressed. I couldn't get out of bed and ended up dropping out of school for the next two years. Dur.. more..
