Love RidiculedA Poem by EuginLove that hurts too much is never true love.
One minute he made her the happiest, laughter filling the air.
A second later are tears filling the very silence. His eyes always locked in hers, as if he couldn't look away. But little did she know, he was only looking at his reflection. Promises he made never saw the light of day. Lies he used to cover up always lingered the surface. He painted her a future, a dream-like state. Always too good, but always too far to be reached. He showered her with light and with bits of hope. All the while he buried her in his deepest of agony. He changed her grain by grain, too minuscule to notice. A chance of self-reflection he didn't allow. He said to her, 'look at me, I will be your mirror, You and I should never be looking away.' Years gone by, maybe months, who knows? Time was another factor that was never in focus. Not one speck of her has survived, all just buried too deep. No one to blame, while he blames it on her. Their broken future, shattered dreams. He says it's all on her, she deserves to be left. How could she, how dare she? After all that he's done. She is lost, oh so lost! She doesn't know what she's done. He leaves her a mirror, with a note written in red. She can't recognize her reflection, she breaks the glass ahead.
