Silence under Silence under Girl

Silence under Silence under Girl

A Poem by Rose

"Rose," I say, only it comes out as air.
No sound.
No words.
We live in two different worlds, You and I.
And I keep away from your world.
Out of Fear? Of Rejection?
I know, but I do not say.
I do not say anything.

Author's Note

Rose
I wasn't sure if I should post this one, because it is pretty personal, but I decided to step out of my comfort zone and do it anyway :). I wrote this because I am really shy and quiet, and I feel like the only place that I can really talk is through writing.

Lovely poem and every one is afraid of rejection. There is nothing wrong with being shy. You just express yourself better throughout writing. We live in a extroverted world and it is hard to live in it if you are shy or introverted. N.

Gee
Rose you are blooming through your poetry....not a need in the world for your shyness. Hopefully your writing wil help you grow in confidence

Thank you! I hope so too :)
This is personal but I could have written it too, many times, but then I didn't! For me this is the mark of good poetry, that it is accessible and many people can make a connection to it. Well done!
Alan.
If you have some spare time would you have a look at my poem 'serendib - land of Jesse's
