Why is It Hard?

I always to write down

All the feelings I feel about you

I can always say that I like you

But maybe it's not just that

 

Whenever I would start

To like a boy that I knew

I would always end in

A river of tears

 

I would escape to the only place

Where it's just me

A place where I can always say

Those three words, that I hear each day;

'I love you.'

 

But when it comes to me

I don't really know how

To explain why I can't

Say those three words

Like how everyone else does

 

It's easier done than said

To tell someone that you love them

Too most people that I know

Saying those three words are easy

 

But when it comes to me

I can't even speak

I know what I want to say

But the words aren't coming together

 

I tried so many times to tell you

But when it comes to me

Saying those three words

Aren't easy

 

It's easier to say, for other people

That I know

 

When it comes to me

I can't even speak my mind

I stay all shy and quiet

I act like I don't feel a thing

 

When we both laugh

And have a good time

I really want to you

Ae hard to say

Because I've tried before

I obviously can't even speak

My throat feels dry

And I can't say not even a word

 

Those three words don't come easy

I can't even write it down

Because I keep messing up

I want to explain how things are

How I feel,

But no words,

 

I'm trying to explain how I feel

But the words never seem

To come out of me

They stay lost

Those three words

Never ever are heard

When we're together

 

I finaly got the courage to say

What's on my mind

But the words are stuck in my throat

And I can't speak anymore

 

That's when I heard you say

Those three words;

'I love you.'
