Stay The Same

 

Why can't people stay who they are?

Why do they always change

Into something different

That effects others?

 

 

I tried my best to stay the same

And I am the same

But for those who became

A different person

In so many ways

They aren't the same

 

I understand that everyone changes

Every once in a while but

Most people change all the way

And they become a shattered peice

Of how I know them

 

 

Flowers change

But it's different because they bloom

People always change

 

But is it for the good of others?

Sometimes, although mostly not

 

When you see that

Your bestfriend is no longer the same

As you first met this girl

Long blonde hair past her shoulders

Beautiful blue eyes

She talked to you in a kind tone

 

Now she only gives you an attitude

Now she hardly ever calls you

She isn't the same

 

She has changed

She isn't who I knew

She wasn't the girl I met 2 and a half years ago

 

She was different in many ways

That no words could explain

How it makes me feel to know

She's changed into

The kind of beauty that no one wants to be

But I hope she's still my bestfriend

 

I would wish on a star

Just to get back

The girl I met 2 and a half years ago

 

I wonder...

 

Why haven't I changed much?

 

I'm still the same:

 

A shy girl who wants to show the world that she is more than just an ordinary girl

A girl who doesn't like what she sees in the mirror

A girl who changed but not as much as her bestfriend did

I'm an over emotional girl, but I always find a way to resolve my emotions

I love my friends and those who are close to my heart

 

This is me.

Idk, you may have changed but not noticed, lol, somtimes people change from experiences they had over the years, maturing, or immaturing, lol, either way the ones who change can go from an enemy, to a good friend, ive had that experience, lol, but this is a poem probably only a retoricle question he he sorry, but good, very fleunt and good tone thumbs up

it;s sad when friends grow apaprt and I hate it when u get to middle school or highschool, ur friends completly chang just so they can fit into a group. I rather stay the person i am! Better an original than a copy! If i did cvhange, it;ll just to be a better person than I was before! Great write! it sounded more like a rant, but you got ur point across.
