Mythic

Mythic

A Poem by Eternal Poet

Dusk, the sacred catalyst

 Igniting unimaginable colors

A beauty hidden, within the skin

A litmus test, a divine spectrum

Scarlet, indigo, blood red vermillion

Velvet shadows soft, quietly shrouding

These darkened wrinkles, tattered  lines

That crisscross your mythic face

I trace each zigzagging scar

In patterns like the flickering stars

Only to be prophesized

By priestess eyes,  and shepherd kings

Like the rivers of Mesopotamia

My simple heart overflows

With the radiant luminescence of love

And the broken promise of youth

Agelessly projecting untold futures

That forgotten picture upon the wall

Still haunts me every night and day

Just like all images, they burn and engulf

The collective consciousness, the very oneness

Of the unprotected borderlines of my soul
