Silent Silver Crescent Moon Embrace

Silent Silver Crescent Moon Embrace

A Poem by Eternal Poet

I followed her

Down a maze

Of winding streets

Her footsteps echoing

Across deserted sidewalks

These Lake Michigan Mists

Smothering Chicago city lights

That glittered eternally once

For You and Me (this was our city)

Like magnificent effervescent stars

I stared into the dark black eyes

Of chaos, oblivion, and serendipity

In my hand, a beautiful flower

In my heart, blossoming love

In my mind, synchronicity

Remembrance, recognition

And a silent silver

Crescent moon embrace

Ah, this piece made my heart chant: Neruda! Neruda! Neruda!

I stared into the dark black eyes
Of chaos, oblivion, and serendipity
In my hand, a beautiful flower
In my heart, blossoming love
In my mind, synchronicity
Remembrance, recognition---- i am totally blown away.
