Moon When Wolves Run Together

Moon When Wolves Run Together

A Poem by Eternal Poet

The call was given

To the pack

To all brethren

Of the forest, the hills, the trails

Songs, such sweet songs

The hymns of oblivion

Under such innocent stars

The skies they churned

As we ran together

The moon it imparted

Knowledge and sadness

The salty bittersweet

Tears of love

And this echoing yearning

From the heart of a wolf

Spilling over the canyons

And valleys of our souls

Destined for travel

In and out of jubilant

Vacant undiscovered lands
