Family Values

Family Values

A Poem by EFidelity
"

incest, God, honor mother and father

"

Pulsing through her veins

the angst of generations.

Innocense stolen.

I'm dying he said.

We all are was her reply.

Airing dirty laundry is not allowed.

It's our little secret he said.

Crying saved her-

from total consummation

into the system

the family valued.

Very deep and full of emotion. Line 3 innocence was spelled incorrectly. But other then that your poem was written well. If it was longer it would be more entertaining but it felt like it ended to quick for me. My favorite line was the last 2 on the first stanza. Good poem, keep writing.

I think the greatest tradgedy is when innocence is taken too soon. I myself have been a victim of such tradgedy. But on the same token those who have been able to express the emotional confusion are in a sense martyrs...giving others a chancec to try and overcome their own pain through anothers...hopefully that makes sense...This is a Great Write!!

This is really deep. Something about it really gets to me. You did a really good job with your choice of words- write on.
