Fleeting Spirit

Fleeting Spirit

A Poem by EFidelity

I know spirit is real
for when she is hidden,
life is hell, oh the heaviness
She is fleeting, like a firefly
Or a fairy, can't be caught
when her ethereal space is invaded,
by cruel intentions,
she retreats, guarding her pure essence
from corruption, from brutality.

Hibernating like a bear until spring,
stretching and yawning, waking up from her sleep,
hungry for companionship, and play

I know spirit is real,
for when she emerges
life is heaven, oh the lightness
tears of grief
for all the moments spirit
lay dormant, waiting until the heart's ice melted, enough
to let her come out and play.

Oh the lightness, giddy delight, tears of relief.
Spirit is real, wholesome, free, radiant, blissful,
without boundaries or limitations, glowing, fleeting, eternally loyal,
eternal fidelity.
