Body not Beauty

Body not Beauty

A Poem by Soapbox

He sees the glint in her eyes not the wisdom of her mind,

The movement of her lips not the strength of her words.

He sees the slender of her neck not the beauty of her spirit.

The curves of her breast not the verses of her heart.

He sees her body not her beauty.

He sees the size of her waist not the size of her heart,

The length of her legs not the strength of her character.

He sees the softness of her hands not the work that they have done,

The shape of her feet not the path they have traveled.

He sees her body not her beauty.

I love this piece. - Well expressed- many of us get dazed or blinded by physical beauty and never bother to look inside to see where the real beauty lies. For a physically beautiful women or man who is not superficial there beauty can be a determent to finding someone to see who they really are. Many are attracted to them for there looks not who they really are-- excellent piece....
