the last dance

i wrote this poem one night after my sisters cattilion

twirl,spin,dip,lift

all happening around me

i sigh

feeling as if i want to run home

until he came

 

he came over to me

offered me his hand

and escorted me to the dance floor

 

ever so gently he wrapped his arms,those kind arms,

around my waist

and gracefully waltzed me around the room

 

through out the entire dance

i gazed at those eyes, those deep blue eyes

when the dance ended he bowed and whispered in my ear

"this may have been the last dance but our hearts shall remain

dancing together till the end of time"

 

you still dont know what happend next

cant you read between the text

i guess not, oh well

lets just say i still hear the bells

A very good write. It still has room for improvement and shows a lot of potential. It can also be completed with a sequel of sorts. Maybe from another point of view? It's up to you, but it is thought provoking :)
