My Bright Eyed Girl

My Bright Eyed Girl

A Poem by Ethan Talby

As I venture into the crowd
Feeling oh so big and proud
And then as I see my friends
My memories came back again
Then I saw you and I knew
You My Bright Eyed Girl

We were just drenched in sound
The laziest couple you've seen around
You were stuck in a cloudy daze
While I was stuck in your gaze
Then I kissed you and I knew
You My Bright Eyed Girl

I've always been so excessive and loud
You'd always tell me to quiet down
Girl, you're the one I adore
Couldn't ask for any more
Then I held you and I knew
You My Bright Eyed Girl

Whoa, your papi was a hound
When you were trying not to be found
While you cried in my arms
We awaited the men in arms
Then you smiled and I knew
You My Bright Eyed Girl
