I'm trying so damn hard

To hold up this weight

I'm trying to look far

To predict my own fate

I'm trying to keep this pace

To get to my destination on time

I'm trying for my whole race

To keep what's ours and mine

I'm trying to see the sun

To get past the rain

I'm trying to get this done

To not have to complain

I'm trying to dilute my heart

To the point where it's see through

I'm trying to find a start

To know a color besides blue

I'm trying to find a friend

To know that someone can care

I'm trying to do everything before the end

But I doubt it because life isn't fair
