They Keep Going

They Keep Going

A Poem by Ethan Talby

People keep saying that music died

I say it's just hard to find

People keep saying this is no time for a game

I just look as they scramble for fame

People keep worrying if they can fly

I just think of what to do between hello and goodbye

People keep looking down on what they don't understand

I just want to hold hands

People keep picking a side

I just choose mine

People keep yelling in hate

I just wonder about the next step for fate

People keep looking for the one

I just do what I can before it's done

People keep praying to Him

I just don't want regrets when the lights dim

People keep riding the wave

I just sit in the tower looking for whom to save

People keep looking for a new residence

I just sit and study decadence

People keep hiding inb the shade

I just stand in the rain and feel my worries fade

People keep pointing fingers at the government

I just stare at the blood on the pavement

People keep looking for what can't be found

I just avoid them underground

People keep buying fish

I just wonder who cleans their dish
