Prove You WrongA Poem by Ethan TalbyA poem about the struggles of success
When I was younger I treated life like a puzzle,
now I'm just trying to survive through the hustle and bustle. Trying to get my voice heard and not be perturbed by the herd while I churn my words for those turds who said I'd never make it. But to be loved you also got to be hated. If you want riches you need fortitude, be you twenty one or forty two. You think fame is easy? Cool. Come back when you know the truth. They say the game is rigged, the dice weighted, it's not about talent, it's the number 1 rated. The machine used to be fueled by diesel, now it just thrives on greed and evil. But I'm going to show you that rage can beat the machine, and that you don't need to be crazy or obscene. Climbing up that ladder even though it has broken rungs just to stand at the top and Prove You Wrong. © 2012 Ethan TalbyReviews
