The Golden Castle

The Golden Castle

A Poem by estherlove43

Chills down your spine as you enter the darkness room in a golden castle

your hands and feet are shaking, you can barely walk

fright overcomes you as you walk forward

you hear three knocks and you stop to listen

You turn around slowly to see nothing in sight

You turn back now running

you see a door, you open it and shut it behind you

you slide down the wall now breathing heavily

as you open your eyes again you can not see a thing

not even your own hand in front of your face

You slowly get up from the floor

and walk again you see something shiny in the distance

you begin to walk towards it and you find light

you run faster towards it as it slowly moves farther away

you stop and try to touch it but its to far away

you turn back but you don’t know where to go

you sit on the floor and a light comes turns you

as is comes towards to you see its a butterfly sparkling in the darkness

it tickles your face and starts to lead you out of the castle

the darkness is not so frightening when there is  light

the butterfly leaves you as you walk out of the castle and says a happy goodbye

You walk back to your home never forgetting your wonderful adventure
