Lyric Peom

A Poem by Estella Nana Gyamfuawaah Yeboah

Red is the rose that in yonder garden grows

There’s a color on the street

And the clock just makes the colors turn grey

A sad man cannot cry in place

Even when the rain is blowing in your face

Loving is easy with eyes close

so don’t look in the mirror

Imagine if everybody knew your name

People you’ve been before that you don’t want around anymore

cos you are the brightest flame

From the bottomless pit

I dedicate the world

That shallow grave is a bargain next to judgement

So if I go for a little longer

Love of mine, someday you will die.
