Except for these words

Except for these words

A Poem by A.Taylor
"

writer's block. ick.

"
Writers block gives way
To boredom

And the pen remains unused

Boredom gives way
To nothing

And the page remains blank

And unused is what I am
And blank is what I feel
So nothing is what I'll write

              Except for these words

So indeed it reads like a short farewell letter, since the writer of those little words would be back shortly. And farewell letters, short ones like this and not the more seriously long ones that decidedly want to end all the past and the future with the affair at hand, function also as little promises we give to ourselves, next to the promissed one, professing that short or long we must be back, quite though for the time being we want out. This is how I read these words of yours. I hope the block is lifted by now and all is flowing smoothly as it must.

Haha. This one's pretty catchy. A lot of writers can totally relate to this poem. I loved how you ended this. :)
