Blessed be the moon!A Poem by Esteban Morfínand her fair lightBlessed be the moon and her fair light! She brings out our true self at plain sight She makes the mind and the heart fight For when she comes out, wrong becomes right In daylight reason acts as supreme commander At night only to the moon must all surrender The vile become their vilest The good become their best It is only at night that hearts come out shining Too bad we must spend that time sleeping Or so they keep saying to me But I promise I'll break free Blessed be the moon and her fair light! She brings out love and pain at plain sight She shines for everyone with all her might She shines for everyone all of the night I'll live the night wide awake So that when moon sends me inspiration My hand is ready for the take I care not for the start nor the destination I know if she guides me I'll be fine Even if she leads me to madness I'll always be hers and she'll be mine We'll be one in the darkness Blessed be the moon and her fair light! So great beauty, such a pure white Blessed are we that pledge as her knights She will take us to ever greater heights
