Deceitful Beauty

Deceitful Beauty

A Poem by Elizabeth Slaght
"

kind of a symbolic writing

"

 I feel the Agony,

Withering within,

The once tiny torturing creatures,

That had devoured me,

Inside and out,

Flourish into deceitful beauties.

Alluring.

Angelic.

Such delusive charachters they are.

They bask in you admiration.

Silent.

Still.

When you reach out to comfort,

The instantaneous dissapearence.

Sadens.

Once again,

Your left abandond.

To wonder,

These deserted sidewalks,

Alone.
