Love, Hate and Self Love

Love, Hate and Self Love

A Story by EshaA

Emotional abuse is the worst form of abuse. But love is such a feeling which lets you digest it all and you still manage to smile. I have been through the same form of abuse.
He has hurt me beyond all possible realms. But do I hate him? No !!

The feeling of love just cannot get converted into hate. If somebody says they hate someone they previously were in love with, they are either lying or the feeling was never love. Because it violates the meaning of love i.e; Forgiveness. You can't forgive and hate at the same time.
When you forgive someone, there won't be hate in it.

Having said that, I have realised that you need to love yourself before loving anyone else.

Love is a responsibility. Responsibility to care, to bring happiness, to kiss away tears, to never let down and to always stand by each other. Most important responsibility is to never let them get hurt.

This sense of love has brought me to a path to preserve myself and not on a path to hate anyone. I forgive him. I even wish him well. The love for him has not and shall never get converted into hate.
It's just that I have found out a greater love - SELF LOVE

This message is so important and beautiful. Self-love is one of the most difficult, yet necessary forms of love. I have hated myself for so long, but have recently began the process of learning to appreciate myself as a person. It's no easy task, and I admire you for your strength.

Your discovery of self-love after emotional abuse is beyond amazing.
