Moving On

Moving On

A Poem by Meriah

Moving On

Meriah Escarcega

It’s time to let you go.

Yeah it’ll take time,

But it’s okay to go slow.

What we had was fun.

Yeah I was in love,

But that feeling had you run.

You meant the world to me,

But you didn’t feel the same.

I was just too blind to see.

So this is my goodbye.

Many months and tears later,

Here our memories lie.

We’ll go our own way,

Never fulfilling our plans

‘Cause you didn’t stay.

As I move on, making a start,

I will always love you.

You still have all of my heart.
