 new fallen snow

hides the world beneath

by pushing  it away

Oh, what discoveries abound

little spots of green

show brightly

on incandescent white

flakes settle on high branches

in the little piles covering the brown

when tiny birds land

the piles come tumbling down

tiny foot prints left behind

lead to homes in the snow

the wonders of winter

although many can be found

many don't look around

for the cold can be

quite harsh indeed

but when you take

the time to look

to push back a little snow

such a discovery you will make
