in the early morning

just as the suns rays

reach the dew kissed world

sending light cascading

dew fades away

shadows turn

the sun culminates in the sky

clouds roll in

drenching the earth

silencing the world

the gentle peace of morning 

brought down

rain splatters as it impacts the ground

droplets breaking off from the first

rain cascades down trees leaves

pitter pattering on its way to the ground

rain seeps into the ground

refreshing the earth

clouds rush away

the sun slowly sets

its rose fingertips

pull the dark curtain down

as they fade

night

stars show themselves

one by one

come out from hiding in the day

the sky speckled with light

on a pitch black canvas

petals are closed

gentle sleep
