She could feel Frigg’s eyes upon her and she probably knew about Sigyn’s state with that one look.
Sigyn was thankful that the goddess did not mention it and instead kept silent.
It was probably for that reason that she was the Mother Goddess and the only one that could take a stand against the All Father.
Sigyn smiled softly as she thought about being a parent.
She still couldn’t believe the news, that there was something growing inside of her.
She was with child and she was ecstatic.
However, she kept it still within her, unwilling to share the news and let the others know.
She knew of the fates of Loki’s other children, and she wondered what the fate of her own child would be.
Was it selfish to bring such a child into the world, knowing that he would never be happy because of who his father was?
Was it selfish for her to wish to have many children with Loki? Children that could suffer unfathomably, children that would add to her husbands pain?
Pain that she would end up sharing in the end?
Sigyn sighed softly and placed her hand on her stomach, willing those thoughts away. It was not the time to think such things.
She muttered something to Sif, who sat next to her, before slipping out of the banquet hall. It was too loud and there were so many people.
Besides, Loki hadn’t been there and it was never the same without him around.
Sigyn sighed and slipped into the room designed for Loki and her whenever they came to stay in Asgard.
She slipped the clip from her hair, allowing for her auburn hair to fall gently down her back. She walked over to her full length mirror and smiled softly, hand going to caress her stomach once again.
Soon, the dress won’t fit her. Her belly will be swelling, and she would feel her child moving and kicking. She knew that her little one will probably cause her a lot of trouble, knowing who her father was.
Of course, Loki wasn’t all to blame, since she herself had a mischievous streak at times, but she wouldn’t admit to that any time soon.
Sigyn laughed merrily as she patted her stomach one last time, before moving to the bed.
She hadn’t told Loki yet, but to her defense, he hadn’t been around lately.
She would tell him soon enough and she wondered if he would be happy or sad….or even angry?
They did not talk about children….especially after what had happened to his previous children.
Sigyn curled up on the cushioned bed, deciding to worry about such things later.
For now, she smiled and thought about the many names they could call their child.
