Rushing waters

Rushing waters

A Poem by Emily Wallace

Rushing Waters

Emily Wallace

The sunset

setting in the distance

so pretty

looking so precious

suddenly you realize

this is no ordinary walk on the beach

the water is splashing everywhere

and the sand is blowing all over the beach

you can’t even see two feet in front of you

you are caught in a very deadly storm

you didn’t even see coming

what will you do now????

Hope that all you can do with Mother nature...has a way of doing that...like life has unexpected turns...which I believe is what you are trying to convey here...hits you all at once and you question for answers...

Nice twist! Really good poem. And I love the question at the end. "what will you do now????"
