I think this is a good poem but It doesn't really seem like an association poem. The words don't really play of the last one said but it is more a poem on marching band or maybe a list of the things you would associate with the word marching band. This in mind, I think this is a good compilation of what comes to your mind when you hear "marching band".

I really liked your poem (not just because I love the topic) because you hit all the important parts of marching band. Some suggestions I would have is to go a little bit off topic. All the words you used are directly related to marching band. Maybe go a little more "out there" with it. All in all though it was really good :)

I can clearly tell how much you enjoy marching band while i read this. i do feel that the last few lines were a bit repetitive, maybe you could try to make a few broader connections next time. overall, it gives off a very homely feeling.
