Nostalgia

Nostalgia

A Poem by Alyss Erulisse
"

I lived in a trailer with my parents until I was two, and I was happy. Then, we built a house in front. My parents now see the trailer as little more than an eyesore and a storage place.

"

Walking through the trailer

Remembering the warmth of happy memories

Missing that simple happiness

Thinking of the long life that followed

Wondering where it went wrong

When did the loneliness creep in?

Could anything have been done?

This place was a shelter

Now it is dank and shadowed

Dusty and crowded

A limbo for idle possessions

A space to cover up

I like it, it's nice to look back to our happy memories but it can also be a little saddening. You remember those memories even though you were around two?

Good Job

Most of my memory from that time is supplemented by home video and family pictures.
